Cows are ruminants. Their stomachs are designed for pasture, not grain.
Our beef cows are selected for their ability to turn pasture into beef, maximizing flavor and tenderness.
Free range grass fed beef has lower intercostal muscle fat and lower acidity combining to give both flavor and tenderness, the two most important qualities in a steak. Combine this with higher Omega 3 fat (beneficial) and a stress-free life to give an unmatched healthy eating experience.
Pasture-raised beef has a different look and flavour to grain fed beef. Fat from grain-fed beef is white and is a saturated fat, which is closely linked to diet problems. Pasture-raised beef produces a deeper yellowed fat which is not only a beneficial fat but a much more flavoursome eating experience.
As with all High Peak free-range meats, carcase sizes and cut specifications are tailored to suit individual needs.
